The short version
Brackstone.dev controls the personal data described here. This notice covers account holders, profile visitors and people who contact us.
This notice explains how Linkd.fm handles personal data when you create an account, publish a page, subscribe, visit a profile or contact us.
The controller is Brackstone.dev, Adrigole, 2a Adelaide Road, Andover, Hampshire, SP10 1HF. Email privacy@linkd.fm. Linkd.fm is a trading project, not a limited company.
We process account email, username, password hash and login records; public profile names, biographies, images, links and social handles; support messages; consent choices; subscription identifiers, invoices, status and limited card details supplied by Stripe (brand and last four digits, never full card data); and security/server logs such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser and device information. Profile view and link-click counters currently contain user/link identifiers and counts, not visitor IP addresses.
Contract: create and administer accounts, publish profiles, supply paid features and support billing. Legal obligation: tax, accounting, fraud and regulatory records. Legitimate interests: service security, abuse prevention, aggregate service measurement and defending legal claims. Consent: optional external media/fonts and any future optional analytics or marketing. We do not use solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Account and profile information is required to provide the service; without it we cannot create or maintain an account. Optional profile fields and optional technologies are not required. Our legitimate interests are keeping the service reliable and secure, understanding aggregate demand, preventing misuse and establishing or defending claims. You may object to legitimate-interest processing by contacting us.
Recipients may include OVHcloud (hosting/backups), Cloudflare (DNS, security and delivery, if enabled), Stripe (payments and fraud prevention), our SMTP/email supplier, Google (optional sign-in and fonts), Fontshare, Spotify and SoundCloud (optional media), professional advisers, and authorities where legally required. Some providers act as independent controllers for their own purposes. Data may be processed outside the UK under UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum or another lawful safeguard. Contact us for safeguard information. We do not sell personal data.
Active account/profile data is kept while the account exists. Unverified registrations expire after the configured verification period. Deleted-account operational data is removed or anonymised within 30 days, subject to backups rolling out within 90 days. Security logs are normally kept 90 days. Consent records are kept for 6 months and refreshed when purposes change. Support correspondence is normally kept 24 months. Payment, invoice, tax and accounting records are kept for 6 years after the relevant accounting period. Legal claims and fraud records may be kept as necessary. Passwords are hashed; transport encryption, access controls, updates and backups are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Rights depend on the lawful basis and are not absolute. Email privacy@linkd.fm; we normally respond within one month and may verify identity. You may complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113, or write to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
